Visiting Otavalo gives us a true understanding of Ecuadorian culture and people. There are also spectacular landscapes and impressive views of Imbabura mountain.
Near Otavalo we have Peguche where most of Peguche's families work in the production of textiles.
Each family specializes in certain types of products, using either manually operated or automatic looms.
Textile wares such as sweaters, scarves, tablecloths, hats, gloves, bags and tapestries are just a few of the various items that artisans in Otavalo and Peguche make.
