Pacific Coast

Picture the calm, crystal-clear blue sea stretching along a beautiful white sandy beach. A typical scene from the Ecuadorian Pacific coast... and its lure is undeniable. But the Ecuadorian costa is more than just a series of beaches. The coastal region stretches from the ocean to the Andean foothills, comprising not only hundreds of kilometers of magnificent beaches, but also the coastal lowlands, low rolling hills and rivers that crisscross the plain.

The widest part of the region extends some 150 kilometers from Cabo San Lorenzo located in the Province of Manabi to the point where the Andes begin to earn the title as "mountains."   Palms, bamboo and acacia trees are just some examples of the varied vegetation found here, along with almost every variety of fruit: sweet pineapples and papayas, tangy mandarins and, of course, our famous Ecuadorian bananas. In addition, coffee and cocoa are important crops grown in the coastal region.

Perhaps most enticing to visitors is the tropical climate itself and the relaxed pace of life. Our multisport trips include rafting and mountain-biking in the tropical lowlands, or we can arrange a beach visit at a marvellous eco-resort, complemented by sea-kayaking and other activities. Rejuvenate yourself.
